Tom recently worked on an IMAX film about the Marine Corps Special Forces, a subject very dear to him. He spent 6 years with the USMC's elite First Force Reconnaissance company so his experience offers a unique insight for the production.
Here he is with his RED EPIC DRAGON (attached to his trusty EasyRig) - filming in 6K Ultra High Definition for IMAX - aboard the Marine Corp's C-130 to film the Force Recon Marines parachuting from the plane.
While the DP for the Save Our Seas Foundation, Tom directed, filmed, and produced the award-winning "Dugongs of Abu Dhabi." Narrated by actor Michael York, this film won second place (behind Tom's giant manta "Best of Show" film!) at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
