Tom moved, part time, to Cable Bay, on the North Island of New Zealand, in 2004. Shortly thereafter, he incorporated as Tom Campbell’s HD Productions (NZ) Ltd., setting up a home office from which to run his production business.
Each year, when returning to NZ, Tom spends time filming around the country, acquiring stock footage that is sent to various agencies that market his material. He also participates in other shoots, such as one in 2008, when he filmed a segment for Michael Hoff Production’s National Geographic shoot with NZ TV fishing celebrity, Matt Watson on the Karikari peninsula.
Tom will begin a project in 2012, filming an educational marine series, featuring New Zealand scientists and marine wildlife. He’ll be collaborating with Natural History New Zealand (NHNZ), providing the latest high-end digital material to their stock library. In addition, NZ companies, such as Pelagic Productions, will be involved in the creation of this series.
